Charlotte’s own round diamond is placed in a stepped 18k gold setting, with the pave diamonds from her original ring set into the side of the setting.
Reframing a broken engagement ring into a right hand ring
THE STORY
I previously created a HRJ Signature Graduating Cushion Cut Ring for Toby and Charlotte in 2021. This has since found its way on to her engagement finger, as her original engagement ring had cracked.
This year Charlotte (not wanting to take her HRJ Sapphire Ring off!) approached me to remodel the diamonds from her broken engagement ring into a powerful right hand ring.
Charlotte loved the idea to create a chunky HRJ ring with a raised setting like my Bantam designs. We also added a stepped Octagon setting to the bezel, giving this soft round stone the geometry Charlotte was looking for.
MATERIALS
Client’s own cushion cut diamond, with her pave diamonds set into the setting. Created in 18k yellow gold.
