A bespoke remodelled Signature engagement ring featuring diamonds and rubies from a family heirloom ring

THE STORY
Virginia came to me with a treasured family ring that David had proposed with. They wanted to transform the ring, keeping the meaning of the piece, into a design that was 100% her, and that she could wear everyday.
She loved the bold geometric yet everyday volume of my signature ring styles, and was excited to work with me to create her own HRJ piece.
I created a design with satisfying proportions, with a mixture of angular and round shapes. I kept the arrangement of the diamonds from the centre of her original ring, and reused the rubies in the arches on the front and back of the design, using all the gemstones from her heirloom. We then experimented with several different shapes surrounding the setting in the centre. We settled on a white gold hexagon that really sets off the old cut heirloom diamonds.
I sourced some additional rubies to match her heirloom rubies to complete the arches in the design.
MATERIALS
Round brilliant diamonds set in a hexagonal white gold box, with graduating baguette diamond shoulders and ruby arches on the front and back of the band.
