A bespoke diamond and sapphire engagement ring, commissioned in secret by the husband to be for a surprise holiday proposal. He first contacted me in late October with plans to propose in December. We knew we were working to a short timeline but did not want to compromise on detail or quality. Together, we finalised the design and opted for a hand painted gouache render to represent the physical ring to come. He departed with the painting and an empty ring box with a promise of what was to come. They returned from holiday engaged and ready to meet the final ring.
