A bespoke contemporary trilogy design featuring 5cts of exceptional diamonds

THE STORY
For Lucy’s ring I sourced an incredible elongated 2ct E SI1 cushion cut natural diamond – a mesmerising central stone. We then found a pair of striking trillion cut diamonds for the side stones.
In order to create a harmonious trio that flowed around the finger we precision cut the trillion diamonds to caress the central stone at a curved angle, to suit both the design of the ring + Lucy’s ring size. This is a feat that can only be achieved by the most skilled lapidary, requiring exceptional technical know-how, and precise modelling to ensure the angles were absolutely correct. I then had the two straight sides of the trillion stones recut to create a crescent chevron shape. To achieve further symmetry, brilliance and a showstopping sparkle we then matched every facet of the side stones to perfectly mirror its counterpart.
5cts of diamonds are set with platinum claws so as not to interrupt this eye-catchingly sparkly curving surface.
MATERIALS
2ct central cushion cut diamond, combined with custom-cut trillion and Carré diamonds (total carat weight 5cts). The central diamonds are set with platinum claws, the body of the ring is created in 18k gold.
