Jimmy approached me to create a surprise engagement ring for his girlfriend Colleen. He loved the bold style of my bespoke channel set rings, and knew a ring created within this signature style would be perfectly suited to his partner.

We started with a gorgeous family diamond, which we knew we wanted to set in the centre of the ring. I placed the diamond within a bold square setting, giving this ‘traditional’ brilliant round diamond a distinct and confident modernity. I flanked the diamond with five equally sized baguettes on each side, creating a showstopping stripe of diamond. The diamonds are elevated with a stripe of channel set custom cut soft green sapphires on the front and back of the ring. We set his birthstone on the inside of the shank.

Jimmy and I worked closely on the scale and proportions of the ring to ensure the design would perfectly suit Colleen – creating a design with impact but that was not too wide.
